Deer Lodge hosts the Tri-County Family Day at the Powell County fairgrounds with free admission and eight oclock gates. Clarence H. Petersen, 79, a longtime Butte merchant and active member of the LDS Church, died Thursday. Born March 14, 1882, in Salt Lake City, he moved to Butte in 1911 and worked as head butcher before opening Petersen's Standard Market on Main Street. He operated the market until 1956 when he joined another venture.
