Body of Aged Philipsburg Woman Found Near Creek Bank
The body of Ida Anderson 86 was found by a sheriff’s party near Douglas Creek three miles east of Hall. Coroner R. R. Wilson ruled death due to exposure after a five day search. A Swedish native, she had lived with her son Charles J. Anderson’s family for five years after forty years on a ranch. Funeral plans are pending at Marsh & Powell in Missoula.

Man Identified as William W. Carpenter Killed in Accident
FORSYTH Aug 14 A man identified as William W Carpenter 34 of Butte was killed Friday night at the railroad station by Northern Pacific train No 4 eastbound. Coroner Beals Rosebud county said identity came from a Social Security card and papers found on him. Witnesses saw a man on top of two fruit cars before the crash. The body lay beneath the truck of a car. The victim was the son of Mr and Mrs William Carpenter of 100 South eating with authorities at Forsyth.

She suffered a mangled right arm, severed fingers, and a brain concussion. Convicted Slayer in Condemned Row at San Quentin
