MSU Coach Brick Breeden Dies at 73 in Bozeman
Brick Breeden former Montana State University basketball coach and athletic director died at his Bozeman home at age 73. He began coaching in 1933 at MSU later becoming athletic director in 1954 and retirement in 1971. Breeden also served as state senator 1972 to 1974 and held various community posts.

Portland man Walter Trumbull 55 died early Saturday in Deer Lodge while attending his brother’s funeral. Cause was apparent heart attack at sister-in-law’s home. Services were held Friday. burial planned in Portland. Survivors include wife Linda, brothers Leon and Lyman, sister Zelta Rollins.

Frank Gary Gorsh longtime Silver Bow County official and Butte action leader is named one of 12 directors for the National Center for Appropriate Technology. The Butte resident serves as director for the National CAA Association and will join a board meeting in Butte. He helped establish area recreation and hospital construction, led Meaderville Fire Department service, and chairs Butte Celebrations.

Dillon services are pending for Elsie Rouse Cornell 62 of Sun City Arizona who died Friday in a Ti juana health center. Born November 25 1914 in Three Forks she married Roscoe Cornell in 1937 at Dillon. She was Beaverhead Country Club’s women’s golf champion for 30 years and ran Dillon’s Make It Yourself With Wool Contest. Survivors include her husband Roy Cornell and two Dillon grandchildren. Memorials planned in Sun City with cremation in San Diego. remains to Dillon for burial.
