Glasgow August 8 Objections of stockmen to the governments feed loan plan were presented to Secretary of Agriculture Arthur M Hyde by County Agent C H Willson He urged placing the loan limit on money rather than head count and supported government priority claims to stock if funds fed animals through winter. Four Burn to Death in Cabin Monoplane Crash
Four men burned to death when a cabin monoplane crashed into a thicket near Preston Glenn airport in Lynchburg Virginia. The dead include G H Clarkson pilot of the Lynchburg flying service Lieutenant H Mettee of Baltimore a parachute jumper who had been in Lynchburg three months, and Willis Carroll and Jack Adkins both of Lynchburg.
