Butte Woman Dies After Auto Crash
Sylvia Meyers aged 63 of 140 West Platinum died in a local hospital from injuries received in a two car crash on July 27 nine miles north of Divide on U S 91. Her husband Herman Meyers was killed in the same accident. The Montana Highway Patrol reported the Meyers vehicle, attempting to pass Leo Heath of New Mexico, went out of control on Feeley Hill, sideswiping then rolling through the windshield. This raised the 1973 fatality toll to 171. eighth death in Silver Bow County this year. Mrs. Meyers, born March 15, 1910 in Knox North Dakota, was a Lutheran housewife. Surviving are son Edward Meyers and wife in Eugene Oregon, brother Art Weaver of Minot North Dakota, sisters Edna Pearson Knox North Dakota Hilda Sicklevan Everett Washington Stella Weaver Everett and Ella Jones Bremerton Washington, and two grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death. The body is at Duggan Merrill Mortuary with services Friday at 2 and burial in Mountain View Cemetery.
