Ex-convict Donald Fellbaum, 33, received an eight year prison term after pleading guilty to burglarizing the Deer Lodge Jewelry and Flower Shop. He had been paroled days earlier and was arrested in Billings after fleeing with jewelry valued at about $3,300, with about $500 recovered.

Czupirczuk was captured after a gun battle and spoke little English. Police recovered his weapon and he was treated for injuries. He claimed to target communists.

Corpse on scene. County Coroner Andy Aleksich said an inquest will be held. Albert Olsen, 22, aided on the pole with Whitehead, with Bud McDonald and others on the crew. Funeral services pending.

Electricians of The Anaconda Co. lifted to a power pole where they recovered Ephrian A. Whitehead, 47, who was electrocuted at 1 27 p m Thursday while working atop the pole near the Leonard Mine at Colusa and Main in Meaderville. A Holman Elbow crane accessory with twin shovels aided the recovery.

Moonshine Still Destroyed in Broadus Area Ranch Raid
Federal officials destroyed a 33 gallon boiler moonshine operation at a Broadus area ranch. Buford Arland Whitesides of Broadus, 56, was arraigned on two Internal Revenue Code charges after authorities found a 50 gallon still, boiler, agitator, oak barrels, copper fittings, and cooling tank. He remained jailed on $5,000 bond after a drunken driving arrest July 31. Whitesides, in Montana about four years, came from Hill Springs North Carolina.
