Retired machinist held after Butte shooting at furniture firm
Robert H. Henningsen, 44, vice president and manager at Christie Furniture Co., was shot in the chest Thursday afternoon. Roy Sanders, 74, a retired machinist, was taken into custody after a preliminary investigation. Henningsen’s condition was serious but not critical. Witnesses Wendell Pollard, Glen Lewis, and Kathryn McIntosh aided and helped restrain Sanders until police arrival. Henningsen is active in local rodeo groups and has five children with his wife Ione.
