Olsen Paid 30 000 for House Election Act Work While Montana Judge
Former Montana Attorney General Arnold Olsen said he earned 30 000 dollars from the Hays chaired House Administration Committee for consulting on the election act. He worked 1250 a month for four months in 1974 while serving as judge in Montana's second judicial district. Committee staff found little evidence of work performed beyond two signed documents. Olsen claimed the contract allowed the full 30 000 as a retainer and said payments continued after he became a Montana judge in 1975.
