UM gets state funding to jump start two health programs

The University of Montana will launch an onetime state funded effort to start a physician assistant program and the state's first public occupational therapy doctorate. The $3.1 million grant will help enroll students by fall 2028 and produce 25 PA and 33 OT graduates annually to address Montana’s health care workforce shortages.

State to spend up to 1 million on housing cost study

Montana will allocate up to 1 million dollars to study how best to supplement housing costs for low income residents who receive behavioral health services. The project, approved by Gov Greg Gianforte, aims to establish a fair market rent baseline to improve access to housing and support affordable care.
