Plane crash near Livingston kills three from Iowa

A twin engine plane flying from Butte to Rapid City crashes five miles east of Livingston. Jules J. Mallon 55 pilot Esther 48 and son David 22 from Des Moines were killed. The crash occurred about 1 30 p m. Cause unknown. NTSB investigator to arrive in Helena to probe.

Anaconda Native Die in Vietnam Action

Sgt. Daniel J. Casey of Anaconda was killed in action in Vietnam on July 28 while his Green Beret unit fought Viet Cong forces. A 1951 relocate from Anaconda to Seattle preceded the service, and he is survived by his parents, Kenneth L. and the Casey family, plus grandparents and extended relatives in Idaho, Utah, Colorado, and California.
