Five Butte athletes and a miner were hurt in a two car crash one mile west of Nissler junction on the Butte Anaconda highway Sunday afternoon. Elijah Walkings of 319 East Galena was in fair condition at St James hospital with deep knee gashes and head injuries. The other driver Thomas H Youlden 18 of 1159 West Steele and five passengers in his car suffered contusions abrasions and sprains. Both cars were wrecked beyond repair.

Billings Man Dies in Rimrock Plunge
Brooke Herford 53, deputy Yellowstone County assessor, died Sunday morning after falling from Rimrocks a mile west of Billings airport. His body was found by his wife, Mrs. Herford, and William Mondell. Sheriff Albert Thomas said the party had camped near the Rimrocks and woke to find Herford missing. An investigation is underway.
