Helen Hall 70 year old Philadelphia widow arrived in Spokane pushing her shopping cart after a journey begun July 8 1965. She travels a protest march against the Philadelphia Welfare Department collecting badges from police and seeking food and shelter at each stop. She has crossed 29 states and even into Canada and plans to continue toward Lewiston Idaho.

Butte youths charged after Helena marijuana arrest
Three Montana State University students Thomas L. Wright 19 from Hamilton Brian Frank 20 of Butte and Roger A. Garman 20 of West Hartford Conn were charged with possession of marijuana after a Friday night highway incident eight miles west of Helena. Patrolman Dale Hanson stopped Wrights vehicle for reckless driving and Frank and Garman were passengers. A package dropped under the car by one of the men was later identified as marijuana by the state laboratory.

Annual Boy Scout Show Sets 31 Booths At Civic Center
