Helena April 24 Representatives of Channel Mines Ltd displayed assay certificates showing ore running 17896.50 dollars per ton. Goodall Brothers of Helena conducted the assays. A sample yielded 13.99 and 12.69 ounces of gold per ton. The vein extends five feet so far in a seven foot high grade streak. The company capitalizes at 500000 dollars and is financed mainly by Idaho investors led by Sam Driggs of Boise. The mine lies 28 miles northwest of Helena in the Maryville region between Penobscot and Bald Butte mines.
