Thomas D Arcy Brophy son of the late P J Brophy a Butte boy has been elected executive vice president of the Republic Brass corporation the second largest brass company in the world. The firm consolidates six companies and controls about a quarter of US copper and brass rolling mill capacity. Brophy previously rose at Anaconda company and headed publicity before resigning to take leadership at Republic Brass.
