Harris VNN reports that efforts to recover the bodies of Helena men will be made tomorrow after two boats overturned in Madison lake last Saturday. The missing are Dr. William Copenhaver H Le Zimmerman and Ralph Saum all from Helena. Flood gates have lowered water to about five feet where the boats were found.

Belgian sources say the Lausanne conference to discuss future reparations payments linked to war debt to the United States will likely convene June 16. Leaders from Britain France Germany and Italy discussed the plan with Dino Grandi and Henry L Stimson taking part but not on financial matters. Former Belgian premier Theunis will preside. The meeting was postponed from January.
New York police revealed Edward B. Brinker Jr. loved many women, a factor in the slaying case. Brinker and Rose Welk, a stenographer, were found in a Williston Park vacant lot. Brinker died first, Welk died an hour later with tape on her lips.
Montanans, Inc. decides to assist the state division of publicity by issuing and distributing a pamphlet to attract tourists to Montana. The group discusses irrigation problems and tax matters and plans to offer services to the Montana Taxpayers' association and taxpayers leagues. Delegates chosen for the national chamber of commerce meeting in San Francisco are O S Warden of Great Falls and F B Connelly of Billings. The meeting continues tomorrow.
Butte merchants will gather at the Chequamegon cafe at 6 30 PM to finalize plans for Butte Days. A merchant committee met at the chamber of commerce this morning to outline details. Ed Marans chairs reservations as Al Brown's orchestra provides music.

Hum Fay, once the wealthiest Chinese figure in Butte and owner of a gambling house, died recently at the county poor farm. No relatives or friends claim the body, and he will be buried in Mountain View cemetery in a pauper’s rite, far from China. His story traces a rise from a 34 year old in a 5000 strong Chinese community to wealth and notoriety.
Hon W W McDowell state chairman issues letters to all state committeemen and county chairs to begin the preparation for county conventions on May 10 and the state convention on May 17 at Helena. The meeting will elect eight delegates and eight alternates to the Democratic National Convention opening May 27 in Chicago and four presidential electors.
A coroner's jury ruled the death of John Edward Engdahl aged 65, a long time Butte butcher, was an unavoidable auto accident on Harrison avenue last Saturday evening. The jury cited poor visibility as a contributing factor and the case is continued on another page.
Four people died in a large urban fire that destroyed about 1200 homes in Omiya town, Shizuoka Prefecture, southwest of Tokyo. About 40 persons were injured and 6000 were left homeless as the blaze swept through the community.
In Honolulu on April 21 the prosecution moved to strike down Lieut Massie s insanity defense as four Americans face trial for the Kahahawai slaying. The state pressed to introduce a questionnaire filled by Mrs Thalia Massie amid bitter physician criticism and potential legal changes to curb such actions.
