Eight year old Thomas Verbanatz son of Mrs. Marjorie Verbanatz of 1002 Empire street was struck by a car driven by Karl Richards 729 Zarelda street at the intersection of Macele Stor and Caledonia streets. He suffered a broken right leg and facial cuts and was treated at Murray hospital. Richards was booked for reckless driving and released on his own recognizance after police officers Joe Blewett and Tom Calpin investigated.
