Stephen L. Zimmerman and Darrold R. Queen, both 23, of Helena, were charged with burglary by explosives after a series of blasts in the Helena area from Wednesday night to Thursday morning. Bond set at $10,000 each. trial date pending.
Dolores Colburg administrative assistant to Harriet Miller filed for the Montana state superintendent of public instruction. Her petition for nomination and a filing fee of 137.50 were received by the Secretary of State. She cites past leadership in education and pledges to continue progress and programs if elected.
UM football coach Swarthout praised Butte for its YMCA facilities and support for youth at the annual Y membership dinner in the YMCA gym. He commended local donors and staff, noting the program emphasizes discipline motivation and skills for youths to build courage and honesty.
