Commies Willing to Resume Talks in Korean POW Effort
In Munsan Korea on Thursday April 17 Red truce negotiators said they were willing to resume prisoner of war exchange talks with Allies. Maj Gen William K Harrison U N command sub delegate said he would pass the message on. No date for resuming talks was given though they have been in recess since April 4. The meeting lasted two and a half minutes longer than usual but produced no progress and a Friday session was agreed. Both sides stuck to demands on truce supervision including Russia as a neutral policing nation and a ban on military airfield work during the truce.
