Six high school students from Anaconda Roundup Red Lodge Missoula and Geraldine were selected from nearly 250 entrants by Montana State College English department as the finalists in the Senator James E. I T Miller 69 a longtime Anaconda merchant died in a local hospital from steam burns suffered at a Butte bath house. Born in Austria in 1870 he came to the United States early and later ran a confectionery and a East Park beer parlor. He lived with his wife and daughter at 609 East Park avenue and is survived by his wife three daughters Vera Mollie Valerie and Hubert.

Fewer Tourists Enter Montana in 1938 Yet They Spend More
Montana's 1938 tourist figures show fewer visitors than 1937, but longer stays and higher spending. The state highway department attributes gains to advertising and helpful port-of-entry attendants who guided travelers to scenic trips, fishing, and other activities.
