An American tanker carrying 16 500 tons of oil sailed through the Gulf of Aqaba to Eilat amid formal welcome by the town’s 2 000 residents. Car Overturns Drowning Fatality Near Bryan Texas
Four Bryan men and an Iola man drowned when their car overturned on a country bridge and plunged into about six feet of water. The victims were Hub Reding 65 Wold Gibson 53 Roy Williams 40 all of Bryan and A W Rice 75 of Iola. Grimes County Coroner A J Wilcox ruled death by drowning. Investigating officers said the car skidded on the bridge approach struck a guard rail and fell into the slough feeding the Navasota River.
