New Party Wins School Board Seats In Local Election
New party candidates Oscar A. Dingman and Harold G. Burgess swept to victory in the district No. 1 school election over Independent and Peoples' party opponents. All extra millage levies were defeated, including adult education one mill, high school three-quarter mill, and elementary nine point two mill levies. Dingman led with 4 185 votes and Burgess 3 958, with Rouleau and Dunstan challenging for the remaining seats. The board complexion becomes two New party, three Peoples, two Independent. Canvassing set for April 11 and board organization April 16.

Fire destroys county shop in Wolf Point causing heavy loss
Fire of undetermined origin razed a large one story county machine shop in Wolf Point Saturday afternoon. Loss estimated at 100000. A Great Northern locomotive helped firefighters reach and douse the grain elevator adjacent, saving the elevator and another machine shop nearby. Four new trucks, a tractor and other county equipment were destroyed. The building also housed a teenage recreation center.
