Meat production up 27 percent in March over year
The American Meat Institute reported on March production of beef veal pork and lamb under Federal inspection rose 27 percent from the previous year totaling about 1.625 billion pounds. Pork output climbed 40 percent while beef rose 11 percent and veal and lamb roughly held steady.
