He was with Don Holland and Ray Hanson when a match touched the tank and the car burned. Holland and Hanson doused flames and rushed him to the hospital.

Cheyenne Wy April 1 A Wyoming State Bar straw vote shows a majority of its 230 attorneys favor repeal of the Eighteenth amendment. Of those polled 175 support repeal and 55 support retention.
Brig. Gen. Edward Godfrey a veteran of the Indian wars died in Cookstown New Jersey at age 88. After retiring in 1907 he lived in the town to garden and to write an account of the Little Bighorn battle in which he commanded a detachment. He chaired the National Custer Memorial Association.
William M. Frazer of Rahway was executed in the electric chair at the New Jersey state prison for the murder of Phoebe Quick Stader, 33, on February 18, 1931 after she told him she was done with him. He walked to the chair without emotion as Col. Stone greeted him.
In Findlay Ohio three high school students were drowned when their canoe capsized at a dam on the Blanchard river. The victims were Carl Quit, Robert Rose and Franklin Stratt man, all residents of Findlay.

The measure excludes a revived sales tax and faces a Senate inclined to the bill’s broad provisions.
A Warsaw telegram to Vossische Zeitung reports 70 prisoners died in a panic when wooden barracks at a Russian concentration camp in Krajka caught fire. 150 fugitives held there were crushed while fleeing through barred windows as guards waited for a superior officer.
