Two wrecks near Garrison injure two men
Two separate crashes west of Garrison within hours left two men seriously hurt. James Earle Flint, 28, of Missoula, suffered heavy head lacerations when his car drifted off Highway 10 and rolled. He was rushed to Powell County Memorial Hospital. In the second crash, 53-year-old Francis M. Gilman of Garrison drove east into a grain trailer unit, while driver James Scott Fisher of Billings steered the truck west. The collision occurred in the westbound lane about six miles west of Garrison.

Auto crash kills youth from Bozeman
NORRIS AP Harrison Den ny Harris 19 of Bozeman was killed in a one car crash Saturday on Montana 289 five miles east of Norris. Madison County acting coroner Carl Ludvigsen said Harris died from head and abdominal injuries. Mike Teslow also 19 of Bozeman was hospitalized with injuries. Highway Patrolman Walt Miller said both youths were thrown from the car. Harris is the son of A Pat Harris of Bozeman and Mrs Noreen Harris of Missoula. His death raised Montana's traffic fatality toll to 35, equal the number killed on this date one year ago.
