Former Butte Man Narrowly Misses Death in Blast
Anders E. Olseen Jr. and his wife escaped injury when a blast wrecked their Los Angeles two story duplex last Friday morning. Olseen, a Douglas aircraft factory worker, and his wife were in bed as flames engulfed the building. A neighbor freed a trapped woman and her mother from the adjoining apartment through a window to a fire escape. The blast cause is not yet known. Olseen, a native of Butte, is the son of Mr and Mrs A E Olseen of Butte.

Jelich Found Insane by Butte Jury
Edward Jelich a 26 year old Butte miner was found insane by a district court jury after a six and a half hour deliberation. Judge Downey will pronounce judgment next morning. Jelich shot his ex sweetheart and himself on December 9 and earlier faced an intoxicated assault acquittal. Doctors testified to insanity, defense urged recovery.
