Tragedy in Oberlin: car strikes Hughes family on lawn

Oct. 15 report from Oberlin Ontario details a fatal interurban crash at the Hughes country home. John Hughes Jr a wealthy stock broker his wife and one daughter were killed along with Mrs George Hollingsworth. A second daughter Lenore, 11, survived with severe injuries after the automobile stalled on the tracks and an approaching car could not stop in time.

Journal Subscription Price Increase Announced
