Liberty Loan subscriptions lag as seven percent funded
Washington reports less than seven percent of the five billion dollar second Liberty Loan subscribed by yesterday’s close. Figures from federal reserve banks show New York leads with two hundred twenty eight million, while several cities report far smaller totals. Officials urge universal public effort, noting twenty four business days remain to reach the goal.
