Two murder trials in Monroe court convict two men
In a Monroe Superior Court session last Thursday through Saturday two murder cases reached verdicts. Bob Phifer received five years for second degree murder after shooting a small colored child in Monroe. Moore Gray, also convicted of second degree murder for killing Harris Suthers, drew a three year sentence and has appealed while out on bond. The trial also covered the assault on Mrs Ferrebee Tonberlin by Bob Moser, who received a two year sentence for assault with deadly weapon after she survived a severe beating in Goose Creek township.
