The 22nd annual Confederate Veterans reunion in Macon featured Chattanooga as the 1913 reunion site, General Trimble invited a Gettysburg celebration, Miss Mary Scrandrett of Macon crowned queen before 20 000 on Coleman's Hill, and General Bennett A Young elected Commander in Chief. About 60 000 visitors were in Macon as the veterans departed for home after the event.

Brad Bagley, a colored man from Martin County, is scheduled for the electric chair Friday morning at 10 30 as punishment for murder. He killed W R White, chief of police of Williamston, on the night of August 16 1911. The Supreme Court affirmed the Superior Court verdict after appeals, and Governor Kitchin set the execution date.
