Local Notes From Chesterfield Advertiser Era
A fragmented column recalls local people and events from Monroe Union County ten years ago with mentions of W B Love Ney McNegley planning to locate in Monroe, praise for Mrs Griffin for a supper, Hon B R Stevens update on a claim about a hunting boundary, and Seaboard Wharf acquisitions. It highlights two Mecklenberg Union farmers nicknamed the Susans, curious twins, stories from editor M D Barrentine, and Rev F M Cannon’s church reporting including a Southern Bound visit to Middendorf and community prayers.
