Monroe City approves broad new license tax schedule
The Monroe Board of Aldermen adopt a comprehensive license tax ordinance effective June 7 1915 covering dozens of trades and occupations from moving pictures to junk dealers to hack drivers. Provisions include tag display, annual examinations for electricians and plumbers, and penalties for noncompliance with licensed business rules.
