About forty stockholders through Stack and Parker sue S. H. Bracy and receivers Frank Armfield and John Sikes in Union County Superior Court. They seek cancellation of $300,000 in stock issued to Bracy and recovery of proceeds from stock sales, alleging gross overvaluation of mining property and Bracy’s personal use of funds. The Howle Mining Company, later bankrupt, had receivers appointed. Golf-bearing ore is reported to be found in the mine, with monthly yields reaching thousands.
