Training Dogs for Service at the Front
Paris reports the National Society of Ambulance Dogs of France operates eight kennels training patrol dispatch ambulance and trench guard dogs for front line use. About 225 patrol dogs have been sent to the front to relay messages and reconnoiter with silent trench dogs warning before strangers, while other dogs like Clarion True and Tremain earn fame.
