Old North Carolina flag on display at State museum
Raleigh dispatch notes that the 48th North Carolina flag loaned by Camp Walkup is showcased in the Confederate exhibit within a new fireproof State museum building housing the Supreme Court State Library and Historical Commission. The piece sits among historic Confederate flags as citizens of Pender County urged stock-law reform with Save Pender badges and rival crowds. The column discusses road bills, woman suffrage limits, and a 4 percent bond plan for county roads, plus street-improvement financing and local civic notes from Monroe.
