War Savings Stamps Installment Plan and Profit
The government promotes buying War Savings Stamps on an installment plan until twenty stamps are posted in the certificate. By January 1st, 1923, the complete certificate will be worth $100 with a guaranteed $17.60 profit, 4 percent interest compounded quarterly, backed by the U S Government. Citizens urged to save and invest to aid the war effort, avoiding wasteful spending on luxuries.
