New Hanging Machine To Execute Manchester Man Comery

Safe Cracking at Coca Cola Plant Net $140, Lexington

Nighttime blast at the Coca Cola Bottling plant near the Southern depot tore open a safe. About $40 in cash and nearly $100 in checks from local banks were taken. Entry was through a back window, with the safe interior wrecked and a clock halted by the explosion. A nearby resident reported seeing a man and a woman enter the building but did not alert authorities.

York v Dr Austin verdict favors defendant in malpractice suit

A Superior court jury in Charlotte returned a complete verdict for Dr J A Austin in the case W H York vs. Austin. York sought 310000 over alleged improper setting of a fractured wrist. The trial stretched from Thursday afternoon into Monday morning with expert medical testimony on both sides.

Wreck on Seabournd Leaves One Dead in North Carolina
