Daring Rescue Amid River Drowns Five Close by
At York on August 12 Mintle Rem. aporeer, aged 25, aided a woman during a rescue at the riverfront. A young man and another boy fell into the swift water. The rescuer pulled two youths to a float and helped three others reach safety after a tide swept them away. Five drownings occurred here over two days.
