Typhoid Source Rules From State Board Of Health
The state board of health states typhoid comes only from human excretions and the intestines of patients or carriers. Decaying matter and animals do not directly transmit typhoid and flies spread the disease by contaminating food and water. Prevention hinges on controlling excrement and sanitation, with vaccination as a safeguard where these measures are weak. Plus reports on President Wilson being asked to mediate a deadlock between railroad workers and managers, with the US Board of Mediation undecided on resuming talks.
