Keziah Acquittal Follows Quick Verdict In Killings
In a Monroe court, J M Keziah was acquitted of murder in the death of Frank Crook after a brief trial begun Wednesday. The jury, drawn from fifty witnesses, found him not guilty in minutes. Will Blount was discharged after the state failed to prove assault and shooting on W S Outen beyond reasonable doubt. A separate case saw a Black man convicted of incest and unlawful marriage with his mother, sentenced to the roads for years. Reports from county offices note satisfactory conditions at jail and county home.
