Mummers Roam Rising Sun Despite Heavy Rain
On Halloween a stormy day did not deter the usual mummers visitations. By eight o'clock the rain stopped and Rising Sun streets filled with grotesque figures moving through homes. The next morning signs of mischief appeared with vehicles and machinery left strewn about.

Milk price rise for November and December announced
The company increases milk price for November and December to 1.60 per 100 lbs for 4 percent milk with an extra five cents per hundred for each additional 0.1 percent butterfat above 4 percent.
