Mummers Roam Rising Sun Despite Heavy Rain

On Halloween a stormy day did not deter the usual mummers visitations. By eight o'clock the rain stopped and Rising Sun streets filled with grotesque figures moving through homes. The next morning signs of mischief appeared with vehicles and machinery left strewn about.

Mrs Lousia M Ivins wife of Geo Ivins died at her home near Colora on Monday October 29 at age 72. Funeral services were held yesterday with interment at West Nottingham cemetery. She is survived by her husband and one daughter Mrs Wilson Kimble.

To Pay Increased Price For Milk At Rising Sun Condensery

Milk price rise for November and December announced

The company increases milk price for November and December to 1.60 per 100 lbs for 4 percent milk with an extra five cents per hundred for each additional 0.1 percent butterfat above 4 percent. Example rates show 4.5 percent butterfat at 1.65 and 6 percent at 1.80. The change takes effect with November milk.
