Abbeville residents face a proposed ten year tax to fund a school building. The author argues current town revenue is insufficient for police, streets, and fire protection and warns of fire risk without waterworks. Proposes selling a four arpents rail line lot valued at six to seven thousand dollars to fund a cheaper High School site.
A 1904 certification from Dr Caldwall's Pepsin Syrup Co. Rural free delivery to begin October first with one carrier serving about six hundred residents along a twenty four mile route from Alexandria to the Horseshoe road and back by Bayou St. John area. Flowertown post office will be discontinued and a short factory will soon be added at Covington.

BP Young and Thomas Badeaux for an electric trolley line between Houma and Thibodaux with two routes over Black Road and Terrebonne Road. Construction must start within a year and finish in three. Fares are not to exceed one cent per mile with half rate for school children. Extension to Donaldsonville contemplated. Badeaux cites shifts starting before April with multiple dates through September.
