Quarantine Action in Abbeville Over Yellow Fever
Abbeville officials convened a special council session to form a Board of Health. Dr. C J Edwards was named health officer with D L McPherson as secretary. Quarantine was declared, railroad ticket restrictions imposed, and fines set for entry without proper certificates.
