Dan Stevens and Miss Christine Eriksen, both of Wood, were united in marriage on Wednesday September 14 1921 at the M E parsonage with Rev H W Buntie officiating. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Eric Eriksen. The groom works at the Butterfield ranch and plans to reside with the bride’s parents briefly.

Mellette County Corn Show Set for October Twenty Second
The Mellette County Pioneer Boys Acre Corn Growing Club will stage its annual corn show in Wood on Saturday October 22 with State Leader Mr Scarbro aiding in judging and prizes. County Agent Gray will display most of Mellette County’s State Fair Exhibit and bring educational material on corn growing. Attendance is open to all and participants must present ten exhibit cars and an attested yield report to be eligible for prizes. The issue also notes a strong teachers institute, prairie chicken hunting in the area, and an auto accident involving Rev John DeCory near the Santee Reservation last week with others injured.
