Lightning kills young road crewman near Herman Kendall place
A man named Benson, about 20 to 25, was struck by lightning while returning with a grain load near the Little White River and died instantly. The incident tore a hole in the wagon box and stripped his clothes while the horse team escaped unharmed. Burial was planned for his home south of Draper.
