Democrats Elect Only Co Supt and Treasurer in Mellette
Election day brings a light vote in Mellette County due to snow and broken lines. In Wood precinct turnout was 50 percent with 109 ballots cast, including 23 by women, while Bad Nation and Berkley saw low participation. Nationally a Republican landslide prevailed. local results show Democrats only winning county offices of superintendent and treasurer, plus the coroner with no opposition.
