Community Life Remembers Local Events And Visits

A busy weekend filled with visits, outings, and church events. Ed Graff and family returned from Alpena South Dakota while Mrs. F T Linkier plans a Ladies Aid gathering August th. The Christian Endeavor group ran an ice cream stand earning about 30 dollars, and Rev Perrin will address youths and lead a consecration meeting August 7.

Thouroughly soaked rains boost crops across region

A week long rainfall from July 26 to August 1 drenched the area, totaling about 2.94 inches. The rain revived ground moisture, promising a bumper corn crop and stronger gardens while some dry spots on new breaking suffered. Gov. McMasters appointed J. G. Bartine as second district judge.
