Mr Pruden placed a new marble font in the Church of the Good Shepherd. The price was $26 with this issue noting the amount. An additional base was needed and cost covered by Mrs Crowley who habitually supports parish needs.
R L Cochran of Peabody Kansas and Mrs May Collins join as subscribers along with Mrs John Woolfolk Professor A Milligan Mrs Dr Skillman and Mrs A H Lyne for the remaining half year.
The Charity Ball was enjoyed and proceeds totaled 952.25. Thanks were offered to Mrs. W. C. France for management and to all who assisted. Prof. Basel plans a band drill for a benefiting entertainment, and Mrs. Rosa Vertner Jeffrey will stage a Lexington amateurs performance for the Washington Statue Fund later in the season. Mr. J. M. Duff praised the March Record as the most interesting paper he has read in a year. Pleasant words to readers of The Record.
