Bishop Biller Dies at Rosebud in South Dakota

Right Reverend George P. Biller Jr bishop of the Episcopal South Dakota mission district died Friday night at Rosebud. He fell ill suddenly after visiting St Marys mission and St Agnes chapel. Funeral plans awaited church authorities and a burial beside Bishop Hare are anticipated.

Lemmon Orchestra Dance Delights Northwest Audience

The Lemmon Geehestra performed Friday night to a large crowd with most staying until morning. The group known for its talent plays current music and is expected to hold dances throughout the winter as popularity grows.

Few Grain Sales Yet This Season Report

Not much grain has been sold due to backward weather and machine shortages. Thousands of bushels remain in shock and Christmas favorable conditions are needed to finish threshing. Elevators report small totals and several farmers buy their own machinery to wait out rival outfits. Yields noted include 1250 bushels blue stem wheat from E J Ziltr and 500 bushels from a ten acre vat farm.

80 Tons Alfalfa Burned in Farm Fire

A haystack of 80 tons at B B Bobs Alfalfa near the city burned due to spontaneous combustion from wet stacking. A barn also destroyed in the blaze, which was first noticed last Thursday. firefighters fought for three days and nights before the flames subsided.

Trail Officers Convene at Aberdeen Clubhouse Meeting

Members of the association gathered Monday night at the Aberdeen Commercial Club offices to plan the next annual meeting set for February in Minneallis. New executive members elected include De Bhogal, James Vo Mawbins, and T Brown, with Brown as president of the Chugh Atatornative club.

Concert Program Friday Evening at Presbyterian Church

Mrs Mary Drew Wilson, pianist and reader, will give a concert at the Presbyterian Church Friday evening under the Christian Endeavor auspices. She will be assisted by city talent and the program is expected to be among the best. Readers are urged to attend.

Columbian On Changed Time In Milwaukee Schedule

The Milwaukee schedule changes begin November 7 as Columbian No 17 will arrive at 109 am instead of 1 pm. The train gains a through sleeper from Chicago to Portland via Spokane, cutting travel time to Portland by about twelve hours. Additional changes are expected soon, with details not yet advised.

Lemmon Defeats Mobridge High in Season Opener

Lemmon high school football crushed Mobridge 39 to 0 on their home field in the season opener. White scored two first quarter touchdowns. Hagen returned a fumble for a 25 yard TD run. Daniela sprained knee in the final quarter. Mobridge showed grit despite the loss.

Flour Mill to Rise at Sorum With $3000 Goal Set

The plan calls for a flour mill at Sorum with an estimated completion cost of about $3000. Of this total, $2300 was subscribed in under three days, leaving a shortfall to be raised to complete construction.
