Excellent Horse Thief Swede John K Johnson Wanted in Fettinger County

John K Johnson a Swedish national and noted horse thief is sought in Fettinger County. He allegedly stole a mare from employer John Adams after summer work near Havejock, traded for a team with Ottman, and fled toward South Dakota. Adams recovered his horse through local authorities. a warrant was issued for Johnson who is believed to head south of Lemmon.

Funeral held for Minnie Sherman Fitch in St Louis

In St Louis on November 28 a funeral service for Minnie Sherman Fitch, wife of Lieutenant Mas W. Ritch USN retired, was held at St Francis Xavier's Church. The burial followed in Calvary Cemetery on the family lot, near General Sherman and a son. The ceremony was attended by relatives despite mines hindering some from traveling.
