Gate Falls Man Meets Death at Keldron

Ole Moe of Granite Falls Minnesota died near Keldron while traveling on a Milwaukee railroad track east of Lemmon. Coroner and sheriff investigated. two colored men questioned. verdict: death by unknown person or persons and concealed on the Milwaukee line. Sheriff Hayward pursuing leads with Morristown arrests pending.

Highway Commission Organized in Capitol Meeting

The State Highway Commission appointed by Governor Byrne met in the capitol to organize with Issenhuth as chairman and Ben M. Wood offered the permanent secretaryship. They will establish county highways and review bridge plans, awaiting attorney general approval, with expected collaboration with the Good Roads association next month.

An explosion from a dynamite stick in a wrestler's hip pocket killed Martin Funk, age eighteen, during a Vale wrestling match in Poughkeepsie. Funk fell while wrestling his brother Remi, and the blast blew him to pieces.

Greensville Texas July 28 A judgment of 500000 was awarded against the Standard Oil Company of New Jersey after a trial in which the state sought penaltie and ouster from Texas The case involved multiple charges against other oil companies which were dismissed or compromised.

Suffragists set fire to Birmingham mansion

Militants set a large unoccupied mansion ablaze at Perry Farm near Birmingham. Placards found at the scene read "Asquith to aid" and "Release Mrs Pankhurst" as police investigated the arson attack in London aged July 22.

Sunday evening July 27 at six there will be an ice cream social to benefit St. Mary’s Church. Mrs Geo A Larson and a small group from the Altar Society assist near mile southeast of the city. Farmers may examine alfalfa planted by Prof Hant een on the Lagoa furs.
